This policy covers the LanWarp bot for Discord (the “bot”). The LanWarp Privacy Policy covers the rest of LanWarp and also applies, including the sections on who receives data, transfers and your rights. The controller is Riccardo Barberini (LanWarp), [email protected].
1. What the bot stores
- The IDs of the Discord server, the channel and the trusted role the host chose, the name of the Discord server and the language of the messages.
- The ID of the status message, so the bot can update it.
- The host’s Discord ID, to mention them when someone asks to start the server or to join the whitelist.
- The Discord IDs of members who press “Notify me when it opens”, to mention them when the server starts.
- The Discord ID and name of members who ask to join the whitelist, with the Minecraft name they type.
- The Discord name of the member who starts or stops the server or adds someone to the whitelist from Discord, which the host’s app shows in the server console.
While the server is on, the host’s app sends the Minecraft names of the players online, which appear in the status message. The bot keeps them only in memory, not in our database.
2. What the bot doesn’t do
The bot doesn’t read or store chat messages. Discord sends it only the buttons pressed and the commands typed for it.
3. Why
To provide the bot to the host who connected it (performance of a contract with the host) and to answer the members who use its buttons and commands (legitimate interest in running the features they ask for).
4. How long
- Settings of the Discord server: until the host disconnects the bot, removes it from the Discord server or deletes their LanWarp account.
- “Notify me when it opens” requests: until the server opens or the bot is disconnected.
- Whitelist requests: until they are approved or declined, or 24 hours.
- Names shown in the server console: 7 days.
5. Who receives the data
Discord, which delivers the messages and runs its own platform under its own privacy policy, and the providers that host our backend and database, described in the LanWarp Privacy Policy. The members of the Discord server see the status message and the mentions in it.
6. Your rights
Members can ask to access or delete their data, or object to its processing, by writing to [email protected] with their Discord ID. The host can delete all the data of a Discord server by pressing “Disconnect from Discord” in the LanWarp app or by removing the bot from the Discord server. You can also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, as explained in the LanWarp Privacy Policy.
